Is QueueBuddy free?
Yes, completely. There's no paid plan and nothing to subscribe to. Everyone starts as a Reporter and shares wait times when they get somewhere. Supporter status is earned with a three-week contribution streak, gifted to waitlist signups, or won in the lifetime drawing.
What happens if I forget to report?
Nothing dramatic. We'll nudge you next time you open the app. If reporting really isn't your thing, that's what Supporter is for.
How accurate are the wait times?
They come from other people in line reporting in real time, so accuracy scales with how many people use QueueBuddy around you. The fresher the report, the more weight we give it.
Do I need to be a student?
No. QueueBuddy works anywhere there's a line: coffee shops, restaurants, venues, government offices. Students get a couple of extras (a pinned school, optional metal-detector alerts). During onboarding you tell us which kind of user you are and we hide the rest.
Do you track my location?
Only while you're using the app, and only to show places near you. We don't store it and we don't share it.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. iOS first. If enough people ask, Android is next.
How do I get my school added?
It already is. Every school on earth is in QueueBuddy. Type your school's name during onboarding and pick it from the list.
